Winter General Manager Update

Belfast around the holidays is a special place. Holiday lights glow in shop windows, the giant tree shines in Post Office Square, and town favorite “Broke Neck Santa” lovingly watches over all of us. I personally love seeing our co-op dressed up in its holiday best. For me, it’s a reminder that the world is a beautiful place, people are inherently good, and there is always a reason to hope.

Congratulations to our Field Day Favorites Giveaway Winners

Karen G., Harmony A., and Nanci L.received a selection of Field Day items valued over $100.

We received 143 entries and have donated $143 toward supporting food access here in Waldo County!

Giving Update

Niweskok Donation

In November, you bought a lot of local squash! Every pound of local squash sold directly benefited the local Indigenous organization, Niweskok, adding up to a $600 donation! Thank you for shopping and supporting local!

United Midcoast Charities Day of Giving – December 4

We had 1082 customers on December 4, which means $541 is going to United Midcoast Charities for our Day of Giving!

Taste the Holidays at Your Co-op

Last Thursday, 12/4, we hosted local vendors to sample their products and had a wine tasting! It was a great time, and we enjoyed getting to meet everyone!

WindowDressers is our December Common Cents group!

WindowDressers brings community volunteers of all economic and social situations together to improve the warmth and comfort of interior spaces, lower heating costs, and reduce emissions by producing low-cost insulating window inserts that function as custom, interior-mounted storm windows.
