The Belfast Community Co-op’s Common Cents group for May is The Soap Closet! Every shopper may ‘round-up’ their purchases at the Co-op to donate to our monthly recipient. 100% of all donations received through Common Cents go to each month’s group.
What is The Soap Closet?
The Soap Closet is a volunteer organization that provides personal hygiene products that can’t be purchased with SNAP benefits to low-income people in Waldo County. A few of these products include dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, tampons, toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, deodorant, and shampoo.
