It’s a busy time at the Co-op as we prepare for the holiday season. Here’s what’s coming up!

Friday, November 14: Last day to reserve Thanksgiving turkeys
Saturday, November 15: Board Candidate applications are due
Monday, November 17: Board of Directors Monthly Meeting
Thursday, November 27: Closed for Thanksgiving
Tuesday, December 2: Last day to enter Field Day giveaway
Thursday, December 4: Taste The Holidays At Your Co-op – FREE!

We are giving away over $100 of Field Day products to two lucky winners!

To enter, come by the store and fill out a ticket on the front table by December 2.

We will randomly draw two names on December 3 and notify the winners!

In the meantime, be sure to stock up on all of your favorite pantry staples and more while the entire line of Field Day is on sale!

Plus, with every Field Day purchase, 5¢ will be donated to NĀTIFS, an organization working to strengthen indigenous foodways.

We’re also proud to support Niweskok, a local Indigenous-led organization. For every pound of local squash purchased, we will donate 20¢ to help further their mission right here in our community.

We will be featuring local vendors with free samples, including a holiday wine tasting, and special flash sales while supplies last!

If you’re looking for inspiration and savings on holiday entertaining, you don’t want to miss this!

Additionally, we’ve partnered with United Midcoast Charities for their 12 Days of Giving. For every customer on December 4, the Belfast Community Co-op will donate 50¢ to United Midcoast!

Congratulations to the Friends of the Belfast Free Library–our October Common Cents recipients! Our community raised $7,608.34, which will support the Belfast Free Library and its mission. ⁠

Join the Board of Directors at the November Meeting

Due to holiday scheduling, our monthly meeting will be held on Monday, November 17 from 6–8:30 PM at the Belfast Free Library.

Owners are welcome to attend in person or virtually via Zoom.

The Board of Directors is seeking Board candidates for the 2026 election!

Have you ever wanted to make a difference in how our community accesses reliable, good local food? To be part of something bigger than just a grocery store? By joining the Belfast Community Co-op Board of Directors, you’ll help guide a democratic food system that works toward a healthier, more equitable future for all.

Submit an application to be considered and learn more about the process on our website. The application deadline is this Saturday, November 15!
