Grand Reopening Day — June 21, 2024
Our General Manager, Doug Johnson, takes a look back at the past year.
It was one year ago this week that we opened our doors to you once more—not as the old Co-op and not as the Co-op under construction, but as our reimagined Belfast Community Co-op. Our “Welcome Back!” event was the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice: in the store and in the board room, in the offices of architects and lenders, meeting with allies in our local community and across the country, all working to bring to life a dream of a better co-op.

Hot dog! Our first cookout of the season starts today!
The Belfast Community Co-op is a proud sponsor of Belfast Summer Nights. Every Thursday night this summer, starting today, we’re firing up the grill at the Co-op before the music begins.
Swing by and grab something to eat before the show! We’ll be featuring Co-op Made sausages and more on the grill each week.

Balsamic Marinated Flank Steak and Zucchini
Flank steak is very lean and can be tough if not cooked properly. Marinating the meat helps tenderize it, and grilling it quickly keeps it juicy. A side of zucchini planks goes on the grill at the same time, so you’re done with two dishes at once.
