50th Anniversary
Celebrating 50 Years of Cooperation!
What began in 1976 as a small buying club has grown into a community cornerstone in the heart of Belfast, Maine — built by neighbors, nurtured by shared values, and sustained by generations of owners.
As we look back on our early days, we’re reminded that this Co-op has always been about people. The friendships formed in the aisles, the familiar faces behind the counter, the products that became traditions at your table — these are the moments that shaped us.
In August, we’ll host a free celebration and the whole community is invited. We’ll gather for good food, shared stories, and great music — a chance to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate everything we’ve built together.
Here’s to the memories we’ve made together — and the ones still to come.

We have many ways for our community to join us in celebrating the past 50 years! From simply showing up to enjoy the day with us, to sharing stories, music, art, food, information, and volunteering, there’s a place for you!

Share your ideas and contact info with us and let’s see what we can do together! Our partner priorities are local, Maine-based businesses or organizations and the event will be free to attend with no sales permitted.
