The Belfast Co-op’s Common Cents group for September is Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter & Services! Every shopper may ‘round-up’ their purchases at the Co-op to donate to our monthly recipient. 100% of all donations received through Common Cents go on to each month’s group.
What is Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter & Services?
The Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter and Services is a low-barrier shelter located in Waterville that does not exclude anyone using substances, with mental illness, or with histories of incarceration. We envision a community where homelessness is a rare, brief, and a one-time event. Our mission is to provide support to people experiencing homelessness by providing shelter, food, and services to low-income and vulnerable members of the Mid-Maine community. We rely on donations to support this work.
