The Belfast Community Co-op’s Common Cents group for January is Finding Our Voices! Every shopper may ‘round-up’ their purchases at the Co-op to donate to our monthly recipient. 100% of all donations received through Common Cents go on to each month’s group.
What is Finding Our Voices?
Finding Our Voices is the grassroots, survivor-led nonprofit breaking the silence of domestic abuse one community and conversation at a time all across Maine. In addition to bold educational campaigns of touring community discussions and posters and bookmarks featuring the photo portraits of 45 Maine survivors, they provide funding for women to Get Out and Stay Out and keep their children safe as well, free dignified dental care; online support groups; and yoga, writing and horse-farm healing experiences. They are based in Camden.
