The Belfast Community Co-op’s Common Cents group for August is Friends of Sears Island! Every shopper may ‘round-up’ their purchases at the Co-op to donate to our monthly recipient. 100% of all donations received through Common Cents go on to each month’s group.
What is Friends of Sears Island (FOSI)?
They are dedicated to preserving this “hidden gem” on Maine’s coast for all to enjoy! They offer year-round education and wellness programs for all ages. FOSI maintains a network of trails for low-impact recreational activities while working to protect Sears Island’s natural and cultural resources. Money raised through the Common Cents program will support FOSI’s conservation and education programs.
