The Belfast Community Co-op’s Common Cents group for May is Belfast Community Radio! Every shopper may ‘round-up’ their purchases at the Co-op to donate to our monthly recipient. 100% of all donations received through Common Cents go on to each month’s group.
What is Belfast Community Radio?
Belfast Community Radio launched in the fallout shelter of Waterfall Arts on December 17, 2016, at 100.9 FM with a local broadcasting area of 5-10 miles. BCR is a non-profit, volunteer-powered radio station, dedicated to being the voice of Belfast and Waldo County.
The hyper-local radio station brings together diverse groups within Belfast as residents and visitors enjoy the mix of local talent. Programming includes public affairs programming, jazz, Latin, youth radio, jam band and groove music, bluegrass, folk, swing, country, and lots more. They are always looking for new ideas for programming, head to the website and sign up to volunteer!
