Join us as we celebrate local organizations and businesses that make our community special! Today, we are sharing our gratitude with @stubbornoxfarm for providing our community with fresh organic food that you can find here at the Belfast Community Co-op!
Stubborn Ox Farm is a @mofga Certified Organic farm in Brooks, Maine. They focus on annual vegetables grown on a small scale in a way that nourishes and regenerates our soil. They strive to provide our community with a diversity of high quality, nutrient dense produce year-round. Stubborn Ox Farm grows food in a way that makes their farm and our community stronger and more resilient.

If you haven't tried their carrots yet, you are missing out! Customers absolutely rave that they are the best they've ever eaten! Stop by and see for yourself.

Join us as we celebrate local organizations and businesses that make our community special! Today, we are sharing our gratitude with @waldocountybounty for all of the amazing work they do to increase access to fresh foods right here in Waldo County.

Waldo County Bounty’s mission is to work to ensure that everyone has access to fresh, nutritious food by collaborating with local farmers, organizations, and community members towards an equitable food system. In 2024, WCB opened 4 new sites for a total of 23 Give & Take sites! On average, 600 pounds of fruits and vegetables and 100 seedlings passed through each site in 2024 through gleaning efforts and donations by home gardeners and farmers. Give and Take volunteers have contributed an astounding 2000 hours to improve access to fresh foods in their communities. If you’d like to find out more, WCB’s Year-End Appeal is just kicking off.
