Thanksgiving 2020 Turkeys

We have a “wait list” for Tide Mill Organic and Maine-ly Poultry birds.  Let us know if you’d like to be added to the list, no guarantees.  Email turkeys@belfast.coop OR call the Meat Dept @ 338-2532.

 Other organic and natural turkey options are available in store, first come, first served.

This Thanksgiving, your Co-op’s Meat Dept has a variety of options to suit your needs.

IMPORTANT INFO

  • More than any year, please:  plan early and plan ahead, shop as early as possible to beat the rush!
  • We are only taking reservations for locally grown turkeys (details below).
  • Turkeys “from away” will be available in-store (details below) and by Shop for Me online.
  • ORDER DEADLINE:  Local turkey orders must be received by Friday 11/20

How to reserve LOCAL birds

  • EMAIL turkeys@belfast.coop
    Include phone #, FARM and desired SIZE
    example: Tide Mill, 17-19 lb bird
  • CALL 338-2532 (10am-4pm every day)
    Ask for the Meat Dept.
    Indicate FARM and desired SIZE
    example: Maine-ly, 12-13 lb bird

Note to customers on LOCAL size availability:
We are unable to guarantee the exact size(s) you order. On occasion, we have to make substitutions. These locally grown turkeys are not mass-produced and have been raised on small family-owned farms. Their methods result in excellent quality, but compared to larger operations (from away) local growers have a relatively small pool of birds. In every case, their priority and ours is to supply the correct number of birds as close to the requested size as possible.

Note to customers on availability:
We have planned accordingly and intend to have plenty of birds to meet everyone’s needs. To assure you get what you’re looking for, please plan ahead and shop early! We will not be able to store your bird after purchase. For customers placing orders via Shop for Me – find selections under the Meat Dept. heading.
