The Belfast Community Co-op’s Common Cents group for October is GBAM Food Cupboard (Greater Bay Area Ministerium)! Every shopper may ‘round-up’ their purchases at the Co-op to donate to our monthly recipient. 100% of all donations received through Common Cents go on to each month’s group.
What is GBAM Food Cupboard?
GBAM (Greater Bay Area Ministerium) is a non-profit ecumenical group of persons representing a wide range of faith communities working together to improve the lives of community members.
They partner with Good Shepherd Food Bank, the US Department of Agriculture, Waldo County Bounty, the Community Garden in Belfast as well as local farmers to supply nutritious food to our customers.
The vision of the GBAM FC is a community in which everyone has access to sufficient and nutritious food. Welcoming their neighbors in need in Belfast and throughout Waldo County since 1996.
