Our renovation project is progressing well and we are on track to meet our target later in the year. The final major Phase 3 of the project will be completed over the coming months: which includes the renovation of our sales floor, installation of new fixtures and equipment, and other tasks.
We plan to keep the Co-op open throughout the remainder of the project. However, if there are any changes to the schedule, we will let you know as soon as possible. We appreciate your continued support and your patronage is critical to our success.
Phase 3 is divided into three sub-parts (see below) to allow us to complete major work safely and efficiently in each section while keeping the business open. Please refer to the graphic below for a rough guide. During Phase 3-1, our entry will temporarily change to the future café space while we work on the front 1/3 of the store. In Phase 3-2, we will begin to see our new entryway and cash register setup as we work on the middle 1/3 of the store. During these phases, we will temporarily use our new Prepared Foods space as retail space and for entry and movement through the store. Phase 3-3 will complete the final back 1/3 of the sales floor, and we will start using our new space.
As we move out of this significant phase, much of the store and layout will be in a temporary setting until late spring. Please be aware that all timelines may change, and additional renovation work will continue through April and May. Our completed project and Grand Opening celebration are scheduled for June 2024, and we will provide more updates as we approach this date. Please note that café seating will not be available until the project is finished.
We will continue to move product selection and placement as infrequently as possible. Our goal is to offer our most popular items and a variety of major selections.
