Run for the B.O.D.

We are now seeking nominations for candidates to run for our Co-op’s Board of Directors.

We welcome specific questions, so feel free to contact any of us. We will also be holding information sessions for potential Board members in the Co-op:

Saturday, January 11th 1-3pm

Wednesday, January 22nd 4-6pm

Q and A in the Cafe: Tuesday, January 14th 5:30-7pm

and our monthly Board meeting Thursday, January 23rd 6pm at the UU Church of Belfast

This is an exciting time to be involved with the Co-op. Ownership is growing and sales are increasing. Our programs such as Common Cents (round up at the register) support community organizations. Our focus on local providers of food and other goods means that these products account for nearly 40% of our sales, having a huge impact on the local and rural economy.

The Board of Directors plays a critical role in ensuring the continued success of the Co-op by setting the standards and policies for the Co-op’s performance and promoting the Coop’s values and vision. Serving on the Board is a serious commitment that is both challenging and rewarding.

This year, six seats are up for election. We hope to find candidates that reflect diverse experiences and talents, and look forward to the new ideas and perspectives they will bring to our conversations and decision-making.

Download the candidate package here.  The package includes the application form and information to help you better understand the role of a Board member. Applications are due Feb 5, 2020.
