Wine Tasting & Art Opening
Friday, July 2nd, 7-9 pm in the Belfast Co-op Cafe
Our free monthly Wine Tasting consists of a sampling of highlighted wines for the season along with delicious gourmet cheeses and crackers. Local wine distributor, Jack Scully of Easterly Wine and the Co-op's wine manager, Ron Poirier, will be available to answer your questions. You must be 21 or older to attend.
July, Featured Local Artist

Camu-Lot: Curved Light, paintings by collaborative artists Robert and Su.Sane Hake from Warren, Maine, also known as Clarity, will be on display July 2nd-30th. The Opening will take place along with the Belfast Art Gallery Walks on Friday, July 2nd, 7-9 pm. For more information on the artists, visit: www.clarityandcompany.com.
Early Closing
July 4th the Belfast Co-op will be closing at 2pm for Independence Day.
3rd Thursday Donation Day
On July 15th 1% of sales at the Belfast Co-op will be donated to the Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County.

Traditional Sicilian and Sardinian cookery epitomizes the use of local ingredients and is strongly influenced by early trade with the Phoenicians, and later, the Saracen occupation. The flavors are bold, and the diet one of the healthiest in the world.
Wednesday, July 28 Mediterranean Grilling - The bounty of garden and pasture
6 to 8:30 pm at Oak Hill View Farm, 661 Veterans Highway in Brooks, Maine
This menu is a mix of many Mediterranean cuisines intended to celebrate summer. Weather permitting, all will be cooked over wood fire.

3rd Thursday Donation Day
On July 15th 1% of sales at the Belfast Co-op will be donated to Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County who provide non-medical support for the terminally ill, their families and to the bereaved in the community. Their bereavement services are offered to anyone who has suffered a loss no matter how or when. Their services have been offered free of charge since 1981.

Belfast Cooperative Store is a membership owned and controlled retail
outlet for whole natural foods and other goods and provisions. We
strive to offer a wide selection of products at reasonable prices to
support healthy lifestyle choices for both our members and the general
public.
Our intent is to be a resource for information concerning health,
nutrition, and the source of our products, as well as for community
topics and other related issues.
